This season took me completely off guard. I expected more of the same from season 2 compared to season 1, but what I got was a season focused on corrupt dock workers, greeks, the death of my favorite character and the death of my favorite theme song. The writing was still stellar and the show still came off as more believable than most cop dramas, but what it was lacking was characters that I gave a damn about. I don't really like any of the cops very much, or at least, I don't care about them. But the drug dealers who I cared about who seemed like they had a shot to get out of the drug game are all dead. I am excited about the third season because of the writing, but I'm waiting for a new character to latch onto.
