Rambo III

This movie was dedicated to the "gallant people of Afghanistan". I had watched Rambo IV a long time ago, and after seeing that it is probably the most violent movie of all time, I picked up the first three Rambos. I watched one and two, but somehow forgot to watch this one. Though not as thought-provoking as First Blood or as violent as Rambo II or Rambo IV, this is still a worthy entry into the series. Rambo is a badass through and through, and unlike modern day Sylvester Stallone, he is inherently likable. He's quiet and only becomes violent when absolutely necessary. The man's ability to find exploding arrows and bazookas in the unlikeliest of places is inspiring. With that being said, if you don't like action movies, steer clear.

  1. This movie has the best scene of Buzkashi the national sport of Afghanistan. Its kinda like polo except you play with a dead goat carcass that has been beheaded. The goal of the game is to carry the bloody carcass from one end of the pitch to another while everyone else tries to beat the crap out of you. Its a real man's spot.
